Major, minor, and dominant 7th chords are addressed with an emphasis on the top note in the chord as the "melody note" and the lowest note as the "bass note" as used in melody/chord playing. After presenting the basic chord shapes, the author offers right-hand technique exercises which illustrate the myriad opportunities for developing walking and alternating bass lines as well as exploring the expand chord/melody options afforded by the 7-string guitar. This book would make a fine addition to the library of the beginning to advanced 7-string guitarist. Written in standard notation and tablature plus easily read chord diagrams.
