This collection of eleven flatpicking solos by National Flatpicking Guitar Champion Mark Cosgrove includes three which were winners at the National Flatpicking Championship in Winfield, Kansas. These songs are challenging and enjoyable for the intermediate to advanced guitarist. More importantly for the potential flatpicking championship contender, these tunes contain some of the required ingredients for a national competition: crosspicking, open-string or "floating" passages, and sections which require a certain amount of stamina when played at speed. The solos are written in standard notation and tablature with guitar accompaniment chords provided.
