The exercises in this book will introduce drummers to many new and exciting ideas in drum playing. The intention of this book is to provide the dummer with several options when it comes time to play a fill or a solo. The ability to execute all of these exercises will provide the drummer with a sense of confidence and a variety of possibilities that will add to both the player's skill level and playing enjoyment.
This book is primarily written for the standard five piece drumset, but provides alternatives for other setups. Unlike many other drum exercise books, the main objective of this book is to develop playing on the whole set, not just one or two elements.
Sections include: Triplet Exercises, Practice Ideas, Alternative Foot Patterns, Groupings of Five, Groupings of Seven, Groupings of Nine, Linear Patterns, and Double Stops.
The included CD demonstrates all of the over 600 exercise patterns in the book.
