This DVD draws on three of Al's performances at Montreux. The 1986 concert is a solo acoustic performance. The 1989 concert is by the Super Guitar Trio in which Al joins forces with Larry Coryell and Bireli Lagrene. The 1993 concert features Al with Chris Carrington and Arto Tuncboyaciyan.

Guitarist Al Di Meola is renowned for pioneering the sound of jazz fusion throughout the 1970s and '80s before turning his creative energies to acoustic-based World and Latin music in the 1990s. This double bill of concerts captures Di Meola in both stages of his career with two different appearances at the Montreux Jazz Festival: a solo acoustic performance from 1986, and a Latin-influenced pairing with guitarist Chris Carrington and percussionist Arto Tuncboyaciyan from 1993.
