Jazz Guitar Freedom is about exploring melodic direction and having fun doing it. In this book consisting of 200 examples, you will discover, as all pro-improvisers know, there are no wrong notes.  Improvisational freedom comes as a result of controlling the melodic flow and the destination of the flow. Becoming comfortable hearing and accepting the ‘wrong notes’ enables one to play anything. Sound is color, color is sound.

The lines put forth in this manual style work will open one up to hearing beyond the diatonic inside track. Each line has its own story and sonic weight. No line is more important than another. Jump in wherever you wish. You will learn that it is possible to play a C major scale against a B power chord (line #169).

If you are ready to jump beyond the traditional melodic way of doing things, this book is for you.
